Student Leadership Accelerator

Virtual Workshop
November 4 and 5, 3-5pm ET

About The Program

Calling all student leaders, with big goals for the new year. Join us for the Student Leadership Accelerator short course this October, to jumpstart and fine tune your skills to recruit, strategize, and lead the change you seek. Whether you’re new to a position or a seasoned leader, you’ll learn concrete tips you can apply directly to your work.

This experience consists of three foundational elements:

1. Strategic Planning and Evaluation. We’ll explore how to articulate your theory of change, and craft a strategic plan to achieve your goals. We’ll also explore how to identify, evaluate, and report on success.

2. Outreach and Communications. We’ll unpack how to articulate our vision, and recruit, educate, and mobilize others for our work.

3. Team building. Finally, we’ll discuss how to build strong and impactful teams and leaders within your group.

This workshop is led by one of AMP’s amazing youth trainers, Tova, and it’s fast-paced and hands on. Participants will learn concrete tips they can apply directly to their work.

Meet Your Trainer: Tova!

Tova Kaplan is a sophomore at Harvard University studying Government and Economics. She is passionate about empowering youth on the local, national, and international levels. As National Youth Director of Constituting America, she travels the country educating young people about their Constitutional rights and has hosted over 180 episodes of Constitutional Chats, a free civics show interviewing American leaders. She is the co-Chair of the Young Leaders Council of the US Semiquincentennial Commission, tasked with involving youth voices in the planning of the 250th anniversary of the US in 2026, anticipated to be the largest celebration in US history. She has helped run multiple local political campaigns and worked on staff for her State Senator. She interns for The United States Conference of Mayors, the official non-partisan organization of mayors, working particularly for the Technology, International Affairs, and Tourism, Arts, Parks, Entertainment, and Sports (TAPES) committees. At Harvard, she is the Communications Director for the Harvard College Democrats, is a Senior Staffer for Harvard Model Congress Boston and Europe, is on the Executive Board of Harvard Undergraduate Women in Foreign Policy, and serves on the Conferences Committee of the Institute of Politics at the Kennedy School of Government. She is thrilled to be returning to AMP Global Youth– she was an alumna of AMP programming in 2020, served as a Fellow for AMP in 2021, helped plan AMP’s first-ever PowerUp Conference, and has produced video and media content for AMP social media.
