Dates and Details
The Power Pack Workshops take place for 1-2 days in July and August. We meet from 12-5pm ET every day. Sessions are very interactive and conversational, with lots of breaks, too. Here are the details on each:
Designing a More Just World: From Vision to Reality. July 13-14. $144
We’ll connect around the youth experience with COVID-19, and its impact on our generation, education, economy, and more. We then move into artistic visioning around the future of education, jobs and workplaces, our economy, and our environment. The experience culminates with learning how put concrete steps and skills in place to move big ideas from vision to reality. You’ll leave with concrete tools for visioning and launching an idea, and have access to future coaching and small grant funding for your work.
Launching Your Bold Idea for Big Impact. July 21-22. $129
In this final installment of the Power Pack, you’ll take your big ideas, your ability to recruit and inspire, and weave them together with the hard skills for planning, launching and managing the work. The Launch Workshop focuses on getting ideas off the ground in a way that’s effective, sustainable, and impactful. You’ll leave with concrete tools for strategic planning, evaluation, and fundraising. Participants are eligible to apply for small grant funding and year-round coaching opportunities.
Connecting Global Youth for Global Change: July 28. $89
Everything we do rests upon our ability to connect with, and inspire, others. This one-day workshop is an opportunity for youth leaders to convene with others, and build skills for recruiting, inspiring, and mobilizing friends and peers around issues you care about. We’ll review basics of relational organizing, facilitation, team building, and more. You’ll leave with concrete tools, and the ability to access future coaching and small grant funding for your work.
Who is eligible
These programs are for rising 9th-12th graders who are eager to connect with peer youth leaders, envision an equitable and sustainable global future, and think big and bold about what can be. We welcome new and experienced leaders alike, acting in formal or informal roles in their schools, spaces and communities. In short: if you’re interested in building these skills, you’re invited to join us!
Where we will meet
All three workshops take place online, bringing together youth from around the world to work in small groups. Sessions will consist of issue seminars, skills workshops, small-group conversations, fun and interactive activities, and team “challenges”. We run a great and very engaging virtual program; we have been designing and delivering online workshops for many years.
